Calne's Sainsburys Hallelujah

If you're going to proclaim Jesus' victory over sin and death, why not do it in style - with a massed choir, music by Handel, and a ready made audience in Sainsbury's.

Below is a video of the Calne Partnership of Churches' massed choirs 'Hallelujah Flashmob' which took place in Calne Sainsbury's on Easter Saturday.

WEBA are planning to be in Calne towards the end of May to make a video in collaboration with the BUGB communications team. We're expecting this to be the first of a series of videos shot around WEBA which will explore the ways Baptist believers have supported one another in mission over the past 400 years, and imagine what might happen next. Calne Baptist Church is one of our oldest churches - it pre-dates Handel, anyway, and it's also in an exciting place right now. Watch this space for more news.

Thanks to Sam King for sending us this link.

Reports from Jake, Matt, and Tim

Thanks to David Jeanneret who filmed these reports on the Tall Ships Youth Trust/Baptist Times voyage. Jake and Matt are part of Lawrence Weston Baptist Church, and Tim is part of Totterdown Baptist Church. These videos take a little while to load but it's worth the wait to see these guys acknowledging the way they've grown thanks to a week on the ocean waves.

Some of our young folk are at sea...

David Jeanneret, a youth worker at Westbury-on-Trym Baptist Church in Bristol, is one of about six WEBA folk currently taking part in the Baptist Times Tall Ship voyage. Here's a link to a page on his church website which includes the latest instalment of his video log, plus a link to previous videos:

Please pray for the whole crew as they work together and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience.
